It's nice weather, and even if it's not nice weather, you can still enjoy the Emerald Empire Arabian Horse Club September Showcase at the Bonner County Fairgrounds.
Classes begin tomorrow morning at the fairgrounds indoor arena, and they'll be running through the weekend, even with some evening classes on Friday and Saturday.
I will devote a lot of my blog postings to horses during the weekend, so get ready.
My job is to roam around the grounds and take candid shots of miscellaneous happenings, peeps and horses and even mules during the show.
Tough job but someone's gotta do it.
It's a great assignment, and I'm looking forward to enjoying this second annual show through my camera lenses. The show does showcase the Arabian breed but also features other breeds and mules.
Stay tuned for the photos, and drive on out to the fairgrounds to watch some horse action. It's all free.
Organizers do encourage you, however, to bring items for the food bank.
It's the sum total of my pumpkin harvest for the year. And, that's from three plants.
Interestingly, little pumpkins have been popping out during the last week. I guess the rest of my crop will be minis.
No turkeys. Just one yellow cat.
Bridie didn't chase it. The cat saw her on the trail and decided to climb the tree.
It's a stray that has been hanging around the woods and the far shed for the past couple of weeks.
My friend and classmate Dennis Timblin came by for a visit yesterday.
Dennis is looking forward to our reunion next week, so he had a couple of questions.
Thursday Throwbacks . . . . this and that from the photo library. Enjoy.
Bill is holding a geocache, which has been planted at Inscription Rock in Boulder Meadows east of Naples.
