Senior Citizen Luncheon

Well, Bill's 55 today, and we're going to lunch. I don't know if Trinity has a senior discount, but I do know that Bill will be eligible from this day forth. Trinity is a Cajun restaurant in downtown Sandpoint next door to Starbuck's.

This will be our first visit there since it opened a year or so ago. It's owned by the wife of Coldwater Creek's CFO, Mel Dick, so we know it offers the proper "ambiance" for the classy Sandpoint scene. As if we care! What Bill cares about most is the authenticity of the Cajun food.

Having been reared in Louisiana and knowing good eats when he sees them, Bill will know if the stuff up to snuff. He apparently has seen the menu there because when I offered to take him to dinner, he said he prefers lunch.

Trinity is the most recent of several restaurants which have occupied that First Avenue venue since the days of Bill Gill's Honda and convenience store. In fact, for a while, one of our favorites, Jalapenos, spent some time there. Once it was a Bruchi's and for a time, a pizza shop.

I have no idea what Bill will order today, but I'm sure the experience will add a spicy flavor of home to his entry into senior citizenville.

Tell Bill to do a Google search for KBON. When he gets it, there will be a link for "listen." It's the best Cajun music this side of heaven. It's a radio station in Opelousas LA broadcasting stuff that you can't get anywhere else...he'll love it....I do.
