We returned at midnight last night. This morning, I'm once again in shock. Maggie Becker's daughter Shannon has died suddenly. I know no details but will surely learn soon.
Maggie is a member of my coffee cult and a longtime good friend who helped get both my Willie and Annie off to a great start when they went to day care as tiny youngsters. I taught her daughter Shannon when she was a senior.
Maggie is loved by everyone who knows her, and let's just say that's a big amount of people in this community. She's a good Irish lady with the biggest, most giving heart in town. I know that heart is broken now and that it will take a long time to heal. I'll do my share to help her and her family through this devastating time.
To Maggie, Don and all the Becker/McDonnell/Kingsley families, I send my love and prayers.
