Happy birthday to our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother

Most recent photo of our mother, Virginia Tibbs, with family friend Andrea Balch Boyle. This was taken at Mother's home two weeks ago when we all saw Andrea for the first time in 30 years. Now, two weeks later, we're celebrating Mother's 84th birthday today. On this Aug. 12, 2005, we honor this matriarch who had doted over her flock of six kids with supreme pride forever, who has shown us by example how to live life with integrity, grit and enthusiasm, who has an incomparable sense of humor, who never wants anyone to starve--for one moment, who loves horses and still rides them, who sketches and paints beautifully, who does her daily crossword puzzles, who has taken up a newfound interest in rock music by being addicted to "In Xcess," who speaks the blunt truth, who laughs at herself while others laugh with her, who adores her cats and her squirrel Seymour, who comes up with some zingers when her ears are not working properly, who's not a "quitter," ever, whom we all love and admire for her strength, character, courage, and eternal zest for life! Happy birthday, Mother Tibbs! Give her a call and wish her a happy birthday.
