Today is Bill's 56th birthday. It's also his twin sister Margaret's. I understand she's the older of the two. Bill says she's in Calistoga, Calif. for her birthday. She works for the California State Parks out of Sacaramento.
Bill and Margaret grew up in Southern Louisiana, and their Louisiana heritage remains dear to them, almost as dear as geocaching is to Bill these days.
Bill's birthday present was a gift certificate to Sandpoint Outfitters, which closed for the weekend to open a new store right across the parking lot in Ponderay where their present store is located. I took a sneak preview and can attest that that new facility will be beautiful when it opens tomorrow. I'm looking forward to see how Bill spends his birthday certificate because it looks like there will be plenty to offer.
Anyway, today when I wish Bill his happy birthday, I can now say I've known him for half his life. I hope to double and triple that association.
Happy birthday to my dear hubby and to his dear sister.
The photo below shows Bill and Kiwi on the Kootenai River Trail near Chinese Rapids. Taken in mid-March on a geocaching hike. Note the GPS necklace--on Bill, that is.

Marianne, I feel very special to be immortalized, along with Bill, on Slight Detour.
Thank you for your kind words.
Love,
Margaret
