This will be short, but at least I'll check in. My heart is still fluttering, and I've awakened my friend Pam and daughter Annie much earlier than they had wished. Was just getting ready to start my blog posting when I looked up to see a brown bear slowly ambling across the yard toward the barbecue grill. Yes, Laura, he was right next to your tent.
Laura, Sefo and the triplets stayed here from Saturday through Tuesday. They pitched their tent about 30 feet from the house and left it here for a return visit this weekend. The bear was right next to the tent when I looked up. Of course, no camera was available, but a brave Border Collie named Kiwi told that bear where to go before Pam and Annie had a chance to get to their windows.
It was a young black bear with brown tones. I did see it stand up in the woods just beyond the fence before bounding off into the woods. This is definitely the beginning of another adventurous day at our new home. Who needs Yellowstone when you've got a sliding glass door and a tent in the back yard.
Don't worry, Sefo, we'll post Kiwi as the official bear guard when you come back this weekend.
Today is "bring the horses home day." So far, we have two dogs and two cats here at the new place. Three more cats, two horses and a major house cleaning to go.
Still, the best of very busy bliss though in our new digs.

AAAAHHH!! Guess we won't be keeping chips and other savories in the tent this weekend,
Ok, now you know you need to find the box that has the camera in it... so you can have it next to the sliding door. There is going to be a lot of pictures over the coming years, from that spot, I am betting.
See even nature is saying WELCOME, LOVE FAMILY...
When we lived next to Colleen and Jack F. we had one look right in the patio door.
Definitely a welcome!

May you have many daily joys in your new home.
And say "Talofa" to Laura and Sefo from me.

You're all awesome. Thanks for your comments. Life is good, though very, very busy.
