Besides getting caught up on projects around the house and proudly flying our American flag at the end of the driveway to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Day, Bill and I enjoyed a snowshoeing adventure yesterday. The sun shone brilliantly, and a slightly warmer afternoon temperature begged for such an experience.
So, I called Geneva Meserve, our next-door neighbor, and asked if it was okay to snowshoe to their pond and through their woods. Like a good neighbor, Geneva said I didn't need to ask, but like a good neighbor, I told her I wanted them to know we were trespassing through their piece of Heaven, which has been in the Meserve family longer than I've been on earth.
I snapped lots of pictures, but those below seem to highlight the beauty we saw and the enjoyment we derived from our afternoon trek. Enjoy.
Also, my condolences to the families of two classmates: Lee Burnett and Mike Brown. Lee's father, Art Burnett, a longtime much-loved Oden rancher, and Mike's mother, Lois, a vibrant lady with a love for family and a zest for adventure, passed away this weekend. They will be missed.
