On a day when diapers, BB guns and Buck knives were making headlines in Florida, it was a slow news day in Dover. Mother had a dirty car and a service appointment at Rokstad Ford. So, I followed her to town. Learning that 45 minutes was needed for the servicing, we figured a drive through Dover Bay and pie and coffee afterward at Panhandler Pies would fill the time nicely.
We were pleased to see that the drive up to Dover Bluff is still an option for the commoners. So, I took advantage of the situation and snapped a few photos while we were there. We were both amazed at how fast the trendy houses and cabins are filling up the spot once occupied by Pack River Lumber Company's Dover Mill.
I had biked through there several times a year ago to see the beginnings of a few cabins. I dare say millions of dollars and a few months later, the development has grown with the addition of several big houses, condos and cabins. One must not blink around our community, or one could feel a lot like Rip Van Winkle.

The warmth of the February day meant a blanket shed for Lily. Besides, I wanted Mother to see my new filly in all her splendor and her spots.
And, yesterday was Miss Kiwi's last day as an undergraduate canine. Tonight she, Copper, Jake, Gertie and Pita will have their doggie ceremony, and from this day forth, I'll have a dog with a document.
