Stolen from Treasure Valley Sports blog

I did some thievery this morning. Stole a blurb off "Will's Blog" at (http://www.treasurevalleysports.com/). Will's my son, ya know. So, check out his sports blog. Of course, we're both thrilled and nervous for this Saturday's book event in Boise, detailed below.

This will be a monumental day for Mom, who's pleased as punch to be side by side with her son as we tell folks about Lessons with Love. Willie's gonna get a little roasting as I explain why I wrote a story about him. The motive had to do with all the parent conferences I sat through where parents indicated frustrations with their teen-aged boys who were not operating up to snuff in the academic department.

After going through this same phenomenon as a parent and teacher, I began to advise those parents to "just relax, give 'em guidance, and this too shall pass." I saw that happen with Willie as he stumbled a time or two as a high school and college student. Eventually, he figured it out and hasn't slowed down since. So, that's what I'll talk about, and then Willie gets his turn at the podium summarizing his story "Confessions of a Reborn Student." It should be fun. Tell the folks you know from Boise to come and see us. Thanks. Blurb below.
