At home morning at Lovestead

This is an "at-home" like no other. As I try to concentrate on putting thoughts together, I'm distracted from the sounds of the triplets downstairs. No, Laura, they haven't hitched a ride up to Sandpoint, these triplets have 12 legs and three tails.

Plus, they do No. 1 and No. 2 a lot. I've seen only one accident this morning, but we batted one hundred percent on early-morning potty duties---outside. First, 100 percent on No. 1. A few bites of Atta-Boy and 100 percent on No. 2.

These are black-and-white triplets with big feet. They're Border Collies---two bound for Boise and one bound to stay here to become Kiwi and Annie's sidekick. This was planned, but it didn't turn out according to plan. Unfortunately, the initial puppy plan went bad when only one pup arrived on the scene and sadly didn't make it more than a day.

We happened to find some more Border Collies young' uns which were ready to go. At first, we were just going to buy one, then came two, then three. A fourth was also sold for our family friend in Palm Springs. Webster will come to join Kea aka Reba later this week. He'll stay until his new mommy flies up and takes him back to the desert.

So, after all day spent flying back from Idaho Falls via Bozeman, Seattle, Spokane and an 85-mile road trip back to Sandpoint, the sitting was worth it. I was greeted by the triplets and have been enjoying them ever since. Kiwi loves them too, which is a good thing. And, in no time, they learned how much fun those Folgers coffee cans can be.

It's gonna be a fun day, for sure. Pictures tomorrow. Also, it's good to be back at-home at the Lovestead. Have a great Monday.

I want to know if the shy Kea is bold enough to go outside! Does she know where her business should be done! Glad you made it home safely. You left us with many good memories.

Kea would prefer to stay inside; that was good this morning because the other two ran off and were lost for about an hour. Talk about hearts in mouths, but they finally showed up at the neighbor's house. They're on their way to Boise.

Thank you, Bonnie, for a tremendous experience and for such gracious hospitality. I'll probably put Mesa Falls on tomorrow's blog. Drop dead gorgeous, for sure.
