The Lovestead is ablaze with color these days. Lilacs are fading, Irises (many given to us from the garden of Gary and Carol Pietsch) and Lupine are just past their pinnacle of brilliance, and the perennials are coming on strong. So are the cabbages.
Those lupine have multiplied out there in Love Canal, and they're so darn pretty, I think I'll help them along by planting more seeds of many colors for next year. It's been truly spectacular.
Enjoy your longest day of the year. Hope you find plenty of color in your lives.
