Diggin' and rakin' and sittin'

I'm thankful to my sisters, Laurie and Barbara, this morning for coming over and digging 32 fence-post holes for our new board fence. Laurie said the project reminder her of "Dad," because of past times digging holes with the tractor.

This scene reminds me of a slightly altered version of the Barbara-Laurie team. Used to be when they were little girls, the common saying went, "You hold it; I'll ride it." Some of that still goes on these days. In fact, I remember last summer one day when Barbara held Lily while Laurie climbed on.

Yesterday, it was more like, "Barbara, you hold it, and I'll dig it." Same principles, just different results.

Thank you, Barbara and Laurie.
