The museum was fun but so were the people we met along the way: Michele and Stacie Ostrum and their mom, Donna Deshon, Sandpoint's much-admired "grand dame," Hazel Hall, and Bird Museum hostess with the mostess Dr. Pamela Bird. Her husband Forrest was also a host with the most. Both of the Dr. Birds and a whole lot of their friendly volunteers mingled among the visitors, making everyone feel welcome.
