A very happy newly-named Monsignor. He wore the same vestments when he was first ordained a Franciscan priest at the Mission Santa Barbara in 1949.

In 2000, he retrieved the vestments and has since turned them over to his dear friend Fr. Carlos Perez, pastor of St. Ann's Parish in Bonners Ferry.
