The view from Eaglewood

Well, we've been here precisely 6.5 hours, most of which was sleeping. This is the scene we have from our room.

It's a nice place, and the weather has turned from all-day rain to breezy and warm.

Flights went without incident, and we're thinking Jim's plane had to have landed with 60 seconds of ours--not far from midnight.

We all magically converged at the door to baggage claim, got our suitcases, drove Mother through O'Hare with her sitting on her walker. Illegal, we know, but . . .

No wheelchair was available on the last stop, so we had no choice.

Someone mentioned the distinct similarity to some scenes from a Chevy Chase "Vacation" movie.

Who knows? We're here and happy. When the other snoozers wake from their slumber, we'll probably go meet some family.

For some reason, none of them waited up for us.

More later. I'll just add to this throughout the day. Stay tuned.

I'm sure it was a stressful at the time, but picturing you and your family pushing your mother thru the airport atop her walker is reminiscent of a Chevy Chase vacation movie... funny!

p.s. Isn't it that type of experience that adds to what makes a memorable vacation :))))

Where is the BLUE sky in the pictures? Is it ever BLUE back East?
