Retired Sandpoint High School educator and musician Marian Ruyle is one of the 100-plus women to be honored over the years as a
Woman of Wisdom in the Sandpoint community.
The program began 11 years ago, and as it entered a new decade, this year's luncheon for the 2009 recipients moved to a new venue and a new day.
A new chairperson, Kathy Chambers, now heads the committee of Women Honoring Women, and if her first year as leader is any indication of what's to come, I'll happily say the program is in good hands.
A lovely, festive luncheon and some lively visiting occurred during the three-hour event yesterday.
