Various and sundries

~~Willie and one of the grandpuppies while waiting for barbecued tri-tips.~~

We're enjoying the week with Willie and the grandpuppies.

They're well-behaved doggies who have learned their boundaries here at the Lovestead. Right now, they're patiently waiting for me to finish my posting because they know that when that's done, they get to go play hose spray while I water my flowers.

They also spend a lot of time racing around the yard, playing with the other dogs.

Yesterday we left them behind and drove out to Hope. That's when I learned that Trish's Place is not open on Wednesdays, so we drove on to Clark Fork and stopped at Mom's Place.

Dani served us pillows.

I'd never heard of eating pillows, and I think Dani coined the term for her pastries filled with lemon, strawberry, etc. and gobs of whipped cream. When she brought them to our table, I thought we had made a big mistake cuz we had a steak barbecue coming up shortly at home.

Dani assured us they were light. That they were---but a delicous afternoon treat with coffee.

Check 'em out the next time you're in Clark Fork.

We had a nice barbecue last night; then Bill and I went for separate bike rides. I was headed over to talk to Helen Baker on Forest Siding Road, so he took off down Selle Road and did the Selkirk Road, Colburn-Culver, North Center Valley, Center Valley and South Center Valley loop. Only a couple of hills, he said, and about 11 miles.

I'm figuring on trying that one of these nights.

Great weather is contributing to a wonderful week.

Today is "Zap" day for my hair, so I'd better get my chores done and make those puppies happy with their morning hose spray.

Happy Thursday.

Hi, Darlene,

And, the same to you! I just learned last year that those are mountain bachelor buttons. So pretty!
