Laurie and Lily stand in line during the family's last class for 2009 in the Last Show of the Season.
Lily was naughty. The judge told Laurie she had her first until that few seconds when Lily's lope was "a bit elevated."
Elevated lopes are synonymous with "crow hops." Crow hops don't show good manners at a horse show.
Oh well, she's got a personality all her own, and maybe some day Laurie will get back to loving Lily as much as I do.

I love your blog! It is always like going home and such a great treat for this Alaskan/Sandpoint girl.
Your mother and sisters look wonderful (as do you) and I love the horses and Lilly's bit of attitude. :) Thanks so much for sharing the pictures and as always your picturesque writing.
I hope your Monday is a great day.
Lea
Thank you, Lea. I'm so glad to be reconnected with you. It's definitely like old home week.
You have a great day too!
I don't know much about horses or horse shows but I think Lily is a class act!
