It's a Super Sunday, for sure

~~~No complaints. Just win, you Saints!~~~
Yes, it's a beautiful Super Sunday here, and we're stoked. First thing Bill said to me this morning was, "Happy Super Bowl Sunday."
We're looking forward to a day with cloudless blue sky, lots of sunshine and great expectations for when we settle in with the munchies, the meal and the big game.
And, as I responded when a friend asked yesterday, "What are you going to do if the Saints lose?"
I said, "Ya know, we're going to enjoy all those minutes up to the final score, whatever it happens to be." The excitement leading up to the final score is what it's all about anyway.
I often think of the comments read over the years about adventurers who've set off toward a lofty goal and once they've reached it, some have cried simply because the quest has ended.
So, we're just going to enjoy anticipation, and when the Super Bowl's over, we'll be happy because of the joy this year's match-up has created for the city of New Orleans and for all the Louisiana natives all over the country and the world who've lived to see today.
And, I'll keep this posting short because there's gorgeous weather outside, not to be wasted here in North Idaho, as we get ready to watch this ALL SAINTS DAY in Miami!
Happy Super Sunday.
Update: First robin sighting at Lovestead for 2010. Seen just west of the barn, looking for worms. A beautiful scene on this February 7.
'Nother Update: In this morning's local paper, there's a list of prognostications, including my dear friend Helen's.
Of particular note is that of former Denver Bronco's quarterback Jake "The Snake" Plummer, who's now a resident of this area.
He has the Saints up by 3.
