My freshly painted new planters.
Our open winter allowed me the space to construct these new planters and put them in place in the front yard.
They're the "don't look too close" style of planters cuz remember I built them.
Pretty rough construction but functional.
From a distance, they don't look too bad, though, and they're in keeping with the red and white color scheme that seems quite apparent here at the Lovestead.
I left the corner stakes high in case of an upcoming need to put woven wire on them to keep deer from eating their contents.

Anyway, Happy Daylight Saving Time, and welcome back to photos on the blog.
Thank you, Jamie Patton, for telling me specifically what I needed to do.
Five bucks to Google, and I'm back in action.
The pictures this morning aren't great, but they're pictures, and that makes me feel good.
I tried posting the bottom two shots of the four dogs (two are our grandpuppies) and Annie Dog for the past week without luck.
Those photos were taken a week ago Friday when Debbie and I took the dogs for a run in Meserve's field. Needless to say, they had a wonderful time.
Today is Selection Sunday for the NCAA March Madness Tournament. To say we're excited? An understatement.
Go ZAGS and enjoy this day.

Put a red flag on the right and white one on the left.
That way, the horses (and the riders) will know which way to jump over those planter jumps.
Wood piles can make excellent jumps if properly flagged. You and your course builder have some work do there.
I have heard the complaint many times, when attending high brow horsey parties, that the area is in dire need of a cross country course. Your efforts will surely gain you access to the inner circle.
Welcome.
Dear Nice Gate Keeper,
I'll talk to the forester about the flagging.
Iz it okay if the jumping course has pink and blue flagging? I ask because he seems to be able to get that stuff in bulk---ya know, in the long rolls.
And since the jumping course needs to be properly identified throughout, I think we're going to need a lot of that stuff.
Of course, our course includes a lot of baby trees with flagging, so it's for sure that the riders would have to do several walk-throughs to differentiate the actual course from the young and growing forest.
All your thoughts will be taken into consideration cuz it sure would be nice to be a part of that inner sanctum, or was that circle?
Strict rule compliance is required to gain entry to the inner sanctimonious circle.
Nice planters! I'm green with envy. I just have the one you know and it is way overplanted! Maybe I will see you in time to pick a nice heirloom tomato this summer! Janis Puz
