Saturday Slight

My sister Laurie had a birthday this week.

My gift to her was a lesson with dressage instructor Gail Redinger, who lives here in the Selle Valley on North Center Valley Road.

Gail is an accomplished dressage rider and a phenomenal instructor.

She can work someone through their paces and enhance some incredible improvements with horse and rider's in an hour's time.

Laurie and Rusty both had a work-out yesterday, and Laurie came home quite pleased with the experience.

For me, it's a joy to watch a good teacher at work, especially when she's working with talented, willing students as both Laurie and Rusty happen to be.

On my travels yesterday, I also snapped a few shots of spring in its critter-filled glory.

We have our own Love doves who've been hanging around all week. And, the deer are ubiquitous, to say the least.

Plus, the neighborhood pond on Center Valley Road is alive with noise and splashing of hundreds of feathered inhabitants.

Today, Annie is home, and we'll probably be biking through some pretty areas and snapping lots of pictures.

Happy Saturday. Hope yours is filled with some wonders of spring.
