Weekend Scenes

~~~Breakfast at Taylors' farm~~~
We haven't wasted much time taking in all the possibilities since the sun came out and stayed all day yesterday.
Bill went to Lightning Creek to cut wood yesterday morning.  I did some weed eating, and when some parts of my lawn seemed dry enough, I mowed.
Debbie came by with her bike.  That was after she had already ridden from Dover to Laclede and back.
She needed more miles, she said.  She's training vigorously now to be ready for the Seattle to Portland bike ride next month---204 miles in two days.
So, we put the dogs in the kennel and headed off on our bikes toward Colburn.  Debbie liked riding South Center Valley and Center Valley Roads, especially the rural scenery.  We didn't take pictures, though.
We visited there for a while, watched the ending of the USA-England soccer match and pedaled home.
Debbie took off to meet up with Willie for SHS graduation.  I mowed some more lawn, and Bill unloaded his wood.  After eating a bite for dinner, I suggested we go for a drive.  We ended up at Trout Creek, as explained below.
Twas a great first day of a string of nice days to come.  This morning felt very much like a true summer morning, so I snapped a few shots while taking the horses to pasture and walking out to get the paper.
Enjoy.
Now, it's back outside to get started on the morning projects.
Love this sun!  Happy Sunday to all.
