Gloomy Sunday

I'm posting this photo to remind me that it did not rain yesterday.

The sun even visited for a while during skijoring at the fairgrounds.

This is Matt Smart, the organizer, pulling Laura Gillet, a competitor.

Laura's family from the Seattle area, along with a whole lot of other spectators showed up for the afternoon of fast action, good eats and great visiting.

The main grandstand was full, and crowds filtered out the the other bleachers.

Yesterday was a phenomenal success.

Now, today, there is the question.

It's wet, gloomy and quiet out there with the exception of a few avalanche-prevention booms up on the mountain.

Who knows?  Maybe the heavy clouds will drift on, and at noon things will look brighter.

I'm sure the contestants will not let the weather stop them; after all, today is the "show me the money" day.

I'll plan to go over to the fairgrounds regardless of how ugly it is.

I have to apologize for the incorrect information about those of us Direct TV fans being able to call up and order the Los Angeles Fox feed.  That came from a reliable source who really cares about this stuff and who read it in a news article.
Apparently, Direct TV did not read the same story or maybe it was confusing.  Anyway, I've checked my Fox 28 channel and that same nauseating music is playing along with the message that the Spokane station has been dropped due to a breakdown in negotiations.

So, those of us victims will have to explore other ways to learn about how the Seahawks do today.
I hope they win.

Since it's dark and gloomy and my mind is empty, I'll just post a few more candid shots from yesterday.

Have a great day, and enjoy the photos.

I think Rick wished he didn't have the ability to watch the game today - he went outside to watch the flood instead. You wouldn't have wanted to watch anyway.
