Of Dante and the Moose

Setting off on an afternoon walk, heading north on South Center Valley Road, I chose to turn around and go the other way yesterday.

This was my second sighting in one day of our neighborhood visitor.

I figured we'd gotten acquainted earlier in the morning because I had sung and whistled to my new friend as he stood in the woods.

Nonetheless, I don't think we're good enough friends to go strolling down the road together.

But I did get some photos----from a safe distance.

This was taken just north of Meserve's.

We have two of them (6:54 AM) in the back yard. One is on the pond, I am sure it is dead!
