Long Flight Ahead

Well, our fun in Ireland has essentially ended.  We'll be on our way to the airport in a couple of hours to begin the long flight home.

The trip itself  has exceeded even my wildest expectations.  Annie has done a phenomenal job of trip planning.  She  asked me last night at dinner what I liked best.

I attempted to come up with a good answer, with something very specific and why.  Finally, after making several stabs, I simply said, "the whole trip."  

I also told her I felt more Irish than ever in my life.  Before leaving, I anticipated a life-altering experience.  

It has been exactly that---all good.

Thanks to all who have followed this with us.  I wish I could have done better, but we packed so much into each day that most postings were hurried in respect to my usual morning mutterings.  

And, it's possible I may not post tomorrow because I'll still be dealing with yet one more flight---home.

And, that's good too!  After all, a great St. Patrick's Day lies ahead.
