The rain took a break for a few minutes yesterday morning while four of the five 2012 Women of Wisdom honorees arrived at Panhandle State Bank for their limo ride to Hope.
Once at Patti Clemons home on the lake, they were feted to a beautiful get-acquainted luncheon.
Bernice Lewis did not attend, and everyone gave her a pass cuz anyone who's passed the century mark is entitled to a few excuses.
Those attending included Mari Beth Lynch from Priest River, Virginia Wood, Margo Johnson and Barb Merritt of the Sandpoint area.
I did not attend the luncheon but did have a good time snapping shots of the action around the action.
Kari and Kathy (WHW committee chair) may not be WOW's yet, but give 'em a few years.
Kari maintains the websites for WOW's and the sponsoring Women Honoring Women committee, so she takes a lot of pictures.
And, she's definitely a pro.
Kathy has served as chair for the WHW committee for three years now.
I consider both ladies among my dearest friends.
Meanwhile, limo driver Nathan served up some champagne for the honorees to sip while getting acquainted with each other on the drive out to Hope.
Dr. Forrest Bird, Nathan's father-in-law, provides the limo each year for this pre-luncheon.
The big gala honoring the women and including their families and friends will be held June 16 at the Tango Cafe in Panhandle State Bank.
