A Sweet ZAGS Victory

Sam talks to the fans after the game.

The stats tell the tale of Senior Night at the Gonzaga Bulldogs Kennel.

ZAGS are now 23-4 overall and 12-1 in WCC Conference play.

A great night all around.  Bill and I really appreciate the opportunity to have this experience.

Oh, and DICK'S didn't disappoint for our after-game dining.

Waiting for the doors to open.  During that time, we watched seniors Drew Barham, David Stockton and Sam Dower file through the door to prepare for the game.

We were among the first inside, and some nice folks from California took our photo.

Bill beams at the thought of being there to watch the ZAGS.  We even brought home free ZAGS towels.  Bill spent a lot of time this morning reading up on the nuances of last night's game, including the fact that when Kelly Olynyk and Sam Dower were texting back and forth Friday, Kelly was in New Orleans playing at a Rising Star game.  He gave no indication to his buddy Sam that he'd be in Spokane and the Kennel last night.

A little fan with a BIG message.

This senior, who spent a lot of time on the bench, smiles as he greets his family.  Later, he went into the game and brought the house down with a 3-pointer at the end of the game.

A Boston Celtic in the house:  NBA player Kelly Olynyk surprised the crowd and his former ZAGS teammates last night by showing up, pulling off his sweater and showing off  his old ZAGS uniform top.

Did Karnowski make this free throw?  I think he missed, but he's getting much better at the line.

Last exit from the Kennel for this season:  a happy exit after a big win. The ZAGS have clinched at least a tie for the West Coast League Championship.
