Monday Miscellany

As I begin this posting, it appears that some substantial information has been found regarding the missing Malaysian airliner and that families have been informed that all their loved ones have definitely perished in a crash over the southern Indian Ocean.

So sad, even sadder with the anguish these families have endured over the past couple of weeks.  At least, however, they can move forward, as best they can, with their lives, which will be forever sadly and deeply impacted.

My thoughts go out to them, even though they're strangers a world away.  Sense of loss and empathy toward such losses, though, are universal emotions.

On a happier note, the scene above shows that we're progressing into spring.  Yesterday was a lovely day which presented one vivid scene:  Foster, our mini Aussie,  stretched out as far as his little body parts could extend, sunning himself in the freshly raked front lawn.

Foster and all the inhabitants of this area had to be feeling a supreme joy as the sun smiled upon us throughout the day.

March Madness did not smile with both ZAGS teams losing, but that doesn't mean we love them any less.

When winter transcends into spring and the annual madness occurs, we are always prepared to extend a huge thanks to these teams for helping us through the gloom.

All good things must end to make way for the next of life's adventures.

And, when spring comes, we feel grateful to the ZAGS for keeping us both sane and insane as we move slowly toward long-awaited segment of each year.

And, then we proclaim, "There's next year!"

Last night we ended the ZAGS season at my sisters' house with taco salads, cookies and cream ice cream cake and a few frowns (yes, Arizona did NOT trounce the ZAGS; the ZAGS trounced themselves).

The cookies and cream cake served as an early celebration for Willie's and Laurie's birthdays. Some of us will be with Willie, but we will miss Laurie's birthday.  So, we celebrated early.

Willie will spend his birthday fly fishing near Killarney, while Laurie will probably be riding her horses. So, both will experience the joys of their lives on their special days.

The bed here in the computer room is strewn with piles of clothes, daily essentials, a passport and a big suitcase. By tomorrow evening, I'm hoping the bed will be neat as a pin and the suitcase, packed to the brim.

And, then the fun begins.

So, on this Monday, the day is filled with mixed emotions as most days are. But we move forward and embrace whatever life has to offer, for we are reminded that every moment is, indeed, precious.

Happy Monday.

What fun that Willie and Debbie can go too! Bon Voyage, fly safely. Can't wait to read the blog.
