My sisters gave me this rose bush for my birthday about 10 years ago. It survived the move to Selle a couple of years later and is thriving. |

I'll probably be going just a little crazy with my new lens for a while, so bear with me as my heart is in the camera there with all those scenes that warm it during this time of year.
I wish I could claim that the top photo was taken here at the Lovestead because it's so colorful and whimsical. It's actually a porch over on Forest Siding Road. The place is for sale, and I'm betting the rocking chairs go with it.
I took the picture on the fly last night. Foster and I went out for a photo jaunt, but it seemed that every time I saw a picture, I also saw a car in the rear-view mirror, right behind me. Busy night on the country roads around here.
Our lovely weather is due for a change---a typical "June in North Idaho" change, it seems, with humidity today, thunder and lightning and then cold and wet.
We've been pretty lucky with spans of nice weather this spring so I won't complain until at least the second day of rain.
I'd like to get some lawn mowed today for Annie's visit this weekend, so the bad weather can hold off for a while---please!
Bill's doing a Costco/Coeur d'Alene River fishing run today. We're hoping that all works out on Saturday for the original four Love's to take advantage of free fishing day in Idaho. Debbie can't join us cuz she has a WOW luncheon to attend with one of the honorees.
Willie may come by today to watch the opening of the World Cup Soccer Matches. He's kinda in between houses on the TV situation, so I offered ours. And, speaking of World Cup Soccer, I'm going to leave you today with a neat promotional which Annie posted on her Facebook wall.
As a Sounders diehard and fan of Clint Dempsey on the U.S. team, Annie's pretty stoked about the World Cup. She said when she left Portugal yesterday, people were asking if she was headed to Brazil.
Nope, she'll watch the opening festivities in Seattle.
Anyway, enjoy your day and I hope you like the video. It's very inspiring.
