Where in the World Is Callum?

I just heard a jet fly over.  A few drops of rain have fallen over night.  Wind, what wind?  Maybe it lost its way.

So far, Callum has yet to arrive here in Drogheda.

Happily, it looks like we'll be able to fly out of Dublin today.

I guess it would have been an adventure to get caught in a storm, but maybe some other time.

Bill and I arrived in Drogheda late yesterday afternoon.  As we drove from Clifden, the rainy, dreary weather turned to blue skies and pleasant sunshine. As usual, we enjoyed some stretches of stunning scenery.

Last evening we met Annie's friend John and enjoyed a fun visit over dinner.  Our visit was topped off by John singing a stirring and beautiful rendition of "Shenandoah."

This friend of Annie's, whom she met while walking the Camino de Santiago, is a dedicated and talented vocalist.

He helped found a choral group which has performed in several world venues.  Next May the group will perform for the Saturday-night Mass at the Vatican.

John's performance in the darkness of his car outside the restaurant where we dined was a gift that Bill and I will always remember.

And, while I'm at it, many thanks to Sue and John Brittain, our fun hosts at the Sharamore House Bed and Breakfast in Clifden.

"We'll be back," I told them as we walked out the door.

So now, we're excited to get home.  If all goes well, we'll walk in the door around midnight.

Can't wait to see Kiwi, Liam and Foster, grab a few winks of sleep before attending my sisters' celebration of their horse achievements this past year.

Seems like the fun never ends.  I hope Storm Callum's having fun wherever he happens to be. Not sorry to have missed him.

Happy Friday.
