Ireland 2021; Day 10

I will spare you the details of the continuing saga of techno dilemmas which have dominated my efforts to come up with posts each day.

Can't help but share that even my Fitbit band is staying in place thanks to a band aide.

A scriptwriter could never imagine all that has gone wrong with my collection of all things Internet-related.

But I have lived each disaster firsthand and this morning am digging deep for every ounce of North Idaho resilience to keep soldiering on.

Today I'll simply post a few photos showing the highlights of our Saturday travels and happenings.

We visited Fanad Head home of a beautiful lighthouse on the West Coast about an hour away from Malin Head.

It was spectacular, and when my Canon camera photos are recovered from the memory card, I'll post a few.

As usual, pretty much every mile along the way on our beautiful Saturday drive, we were overwhelmed with the beauty and the prosperity of this area.

Tidiness and vivid natural color reign supreme throughout Ireland especially when the sun is shining.

We've saw several spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, including a beach near Letterkenney which is touted as one of the most beautiful in Ireland.

Back here at the Seaview Tavern B and B and Restaurant, the place was hopping in honor of a 50th birthday party.

Donny Byrne, an amazing Irish singer,  and his partner kept the revelers mesmerized and engaged with his beautiful voice and his playlist of both upbeat and poignant Irish classics.

He even threw in a few country western tunes, including "Country Road."

People danced and people sang along throughout the evening.  Bill and I stayed for three songs after our dinner which included a piece of carrot cake to celebrate that 70th birthday which was supposed to happen here in Malin Head last year.

We left the party behind, sorta, and came upstairs to our room which is just above where the band was playing.

Let's just say it took a while to get to sleep because of the need to do a little foot stomping and hand clapping along with the music.

Once again, we were fortunate in our timing to have seen a rich segment of local culture.

Today we'll do some more exploring around the area.  The town of Buncrana is not far away and we'll probably spend a little time there as it is definitely a specific spot in the homeland on my mother's side of the family.

With luck, the techno problems will go away, or they won't.  I'll keep plugging along to share some of the wonderful moments and people of this amazing trip.

Thanks for your enthusiastic responses to these posts.  Very much appreciated, especially with all the challenges.

As they say, when all technical aspects of our world are working, there's nothing better.  When they're not, it's ain't purty!

Happy Sunday.
