LOVE's Is All You Need

This was a rather amazing sight in the Western sky right before dark last night.

This morning I saw a headline announcing the No. 1 business in the nation for taking care of its employees.

I wondered if it was LOVE's and, by golly, it was.

We have stopped at LOVE's truck stops and convenience stores on our road trips.

Just in's and outs for fueling and unfueling and munchies, but we've always enjoyed our visits.

If I recall correctly, our daughter Annie loves their jerky.

It's nice to read stories like this and to see which franchises get the highest marks for their employees.

LOVE's is certainly living up to their name, which is important, especially in these times.

Some guy put the picture below on Twitter and said he paid $56 for this meal at an airport.

It was meant be a slam at President Biden.

Hmmmm!

What airport food service would offer this dish???

I can't tell if those are pieces of seafood or red hot Cheetos.

The carrots look like they've had nine lives.  D'ya suppose they just take the uneaten carrots off from plates and re-use them.

Hard to tell.

Moreover, I've never ever thought of using Kraft American cheese slices on my top ramen. BTW: isn't that cheese being recalled?

Just checked, and, sure enough, it is.

Kraft Heinz is recalling 83,800 cases of individually wrapped Kraft Singles American processed cheese slices over concerns of a potential choking hazard.

The food giant said Tuesday that a malfunctioning wrapping machine left a thin strip of plastic film on some processed cheese slices, after the wrapper had been removed.

"If the film sticks to the slice and is not removed, it could be unpleasant and potentially cause a gagging or choking hazard," the company said.

The problem was discovered after several consumers complained about finding the extra strip of plastic stuck to a slice. Six complaints were received of people choking or gagging, but injuries or serious health issues have been reported, according to Kraft Heinz.

Anywho, it seems like the cheese might be an insult to the top ramen or vice versa.

Strange food fellows!

I wonder if the guy who posted on Twitter concocted this meal as a statement.

Fake news! Fake food!

I sure hope that's the case.

On another topic, when one door closes, another opens.

Color is coming on while color is going away.

When one season ends, another takes over.

We're starting to see that confirmed more dramatically each day.

At our place, the red maple tree launches the first segment of our fall color show, and the oak tree ends it----sorta.

Actually, our oak never sheds all its leaves until spring.

With more leaves falling every day, I'll be putting the bags on the back of the lawnmower for the next mowing and will be picking up leaves from now until the snow flies.

I'm sure I'm not alone in hoping that the snow won't fly until it is supposed to---maybe Thanksgiving.

It caught us off guard last year and we never were able to pick up the leaves until spring.

Actually, it wasn't as bad as I thought so I won't stress out this year if every last leaf hasn't been removed from the yard.

For now, it's pure enjoyment to watch the color come on.

Not much of consequence on my mind this morning, so I'll just shut up and get ready to go get my hair zapped for the big trip ahead.

Another local couple left for Ireland today, and my former neighbor Kim from over on Robinson Road is headed there Sunday.

Ma and Pa Love won't be far behind.

Wishing you all a Happy Friday.
