Pumpkin Eaters, Et. Al.

Just a few pumpkin thieves strolling through the pasture after leaving the pumpkin plant late yesterday afternoon.

There were four all together, and I'm guessing it was moms and their fawns, since one of the smaller ones still had a few spots.

Surprisingly, the manure-pile pumpkin plant is the gift that keeps on giving for these hungry mouths.

I've cut and smashed vines and still little green pumpkins turn into bigger green pumpkins. And, when they reach the "bigger" stage, they're usually gobbled up soon thereafter.

It's okay with me as I've harvested enough ripe pumpkins for Halloween color.

This begins the week of.  We'll soon be counting down the hours until heading off to Ireland.

This morning Annie's co-worker Jon aka MountnBike was in Dublin.  He's just there overnight, but he adds to the long string of friends who have been visiting the Emerald Isle over the past few weeks.

So, we're feeling the excitement and wrapping up all the final loose ends.

I'm really excited because I can submit a very favorable blood pressure report to my medical provider today.

It's pretty obvious now that I do suffer from "White Coat Syndrome," as twice-daily blood pressure checks have resulted in normal readings for practically two weeks.

Put "Nervous Nellie" Marianne in a doctor's office, though, and the monitor shoots up.

So, I'm thrilled to have the numbers that show that there's no concern, 'cept with the doctors.

It's a good feeling to be old and healthy, and I am beyond grateful.

💖💖National Daughters Day💖💖

Fall color is starting to show up a bit more each day, as lilac bushes and blueberry leaves are adding their touch to the fall show.

Below:  the sock and vet wrap on Bridie's foot lasted almost 24 hours.

Her little claw-related owie looks better so we're hoping Bridie and Mother Nature will take care of the rest of the healing.

Also hope it's a good day for all.

Happy Monday.
