Walsh Lake takes up part of this scene as does a deer in the foreground.
This is the view from the outside portion of the Blue Heron Restaurant, a part of the Samuels Store.
And, this was the view last evening when we got together with Willie and Debbie and Barbara for Friday-night dinner.
It was a perfect evening---not too cold, not too hot, not too many bugs and no bees.
The only irritant: cotton fluffs floating through the air, and right now, that's an irritant pretty much everywhere one goes around here.
We had a nice dinner and a good visit.
This morning, Bill has already headed off for the Kalispel Tribal fishing lake where he and others will teach kids how to fly fish, all a part of free fishing day in Idaho and Washington.
Bill does this every year and comes back with stories about kids who either already like fly fishing or who discover that they will like it.
And, what's not to like when they catch huge lunkers that live in the lake.
As for me, I'll hang around home with the dogs and finish up this session of lawn mowing. I'll also drop in on a senior graduation party up the road.
Speaking of the road and the neighborhood, it's fun to know that we once again have neighbors to the north of us AND yesterday I met some of the new neighbors who have moved to our little piece of Heaven here in Selle.
Eric and Emily and their daughters now live over on Selle Road. It was fun to learn during a brief visit yesterday that there's one more former "Luziannan" living in the neighborhood.
I'm sure the time will come when Eric and Bill share a few Cajun tales.
Anywho, welcome back Becky and Shawn and welcome to Eric and Emily.
Your presence, I'm sure, will be fun for all of us, and I'm also thinkin' you're going to enjoy being here.
To all, Happy Saturday on this beautiful summer day.
Just can't stop taking pictures of the rose Annie gave me for Mother's Day. The three latest blooms with all the colors are represented here---kinda like Dolly Parton's beloved coat with its special meaning.
Let's just say that the photo below is a meaningful and symbolic picture taken and shared with me by a lovely, longtime friend.
Thank you, Julie. My heart is with you.
Dale and Mae are together again.
