I like to visit Bailey Road a few times each year.
Baileyville, Et. Al. is a charming little nook just off HWY 95 across the railroad tracks, near Colburn.
Just after the tracks, giant weeping willows and a babbling brook surround a beautifully painted older home.
Downtown Baileyville is just a short stretch of road with beautiful flowers, thriving gardens, relics and other neat points of interest.
As many times as I've driven past my former student Gary Bailey's home, I've never really zeroed in on his yurt with its shake roof and vintage PBR sign on one side.
Yesterday I noticed and observed and took a picture. I don't think Gary minds. He has lots of interesting rustic attractions around his place.
Just after Gary's place, the road turns north eventually passing through two huge green fields, enhanced by a major sprinkler system.
With a few mountain peaks skirting the field on the left, the scene is magnificent.
Where the road eventually takes a left turn, I turned around and took my time once more driving through Baileyville.
The local scenes were as fun as ever.
Bill is heading off to Montana this morning to attend a Trout Unlimited meeting.
Tony, the wizard, is coming soon to do a little repair work on my backup mower and to change the oil in the new Toro.
It's always nice to have a back-up, but so far, the Toro has made it through the summer with little wear and tear, except for its protective shield.
Tony and I agree that Toro could have done a better job on the shield because a minor bump causes it to crack.
Good ol' duct tape does the trick though until Tony finds a better fix.
Annie's living it up tonight in a fancy hotel after completing her ninth day on the Camino.
Check out today's post.
On International Dog Day yesterday, our pups spent the afternoon, doing just this.
Bridie even thought it would be nice to enjoy her nap in Foster's bed.
Foster didn't mind or maybe he just couldn't see her in his bed.
Well, it's off to get the lawnmowers out and ready for Tony.
Happy Tuesday.
The summer color is fading on these pods (above), but they're still kinda pretty.
