On a Snowy Day

Yesterday was a lovely snowy day, sometimes snow-globe like.

Today 100 percent rain on about five inches of snow.

Schools are starting two hours late this morning.

Not lovely, but, by golly, the paper arrived.

On the not-so-lovely side, little Foster opted to hold on to his bladder rather than going out in that wet stuff.

Since doggie do do time, I have shoveled a path to the shop and opened up an area not far from the house for Foster to relieve himself.

It's a certified ugly morning around here, but the rain is supposed to stop around noon.

Hoping it washes a couple of inches of snow away so we can resume our treasured time walking through the woods.

We have a new dog.  It lights up and it has Bridie wondering what it's gonna do to mess up her life.

A few days ago, I saw the doggie for sale at Home Depot and told Bill about it.  It's not a Border Collie but close enough, especially its tri-color.

Yesterday Bill stopped by Home Depot to pick out our dog.

"I wondered where in the store I'd find it," he told me. "But then when I walked in the door, I saw an older couple walking out with their new dog in their cart."

It didn't take long for Bill to pick out our pup and bring it home.

We're thrilled with this new dog because of no potty training, no begging---just batteries so it will light up and add a neat touch to our Christmas decorations.

Just two days now until Christmas vacation starts and Annie comes home.

Lots to do, including some snow removal.
