Saturday Slight

Wherever there's snow this morning, the ground is crunchy.

We're at 13 degrees as I type AND seeing a gorgeous day ahead.

Another week of this dry, sunny, cold stuff, so I'm not complaining.

Life goes on for me, even with the medical issues.  Thanks so much for all the well wishes. Very appreciated.

At this point, I have a doctor's appointment next week to see what direction we'll be headed with my ugly appendix.

Still no pain in the lower abdomen, and that's supposed to be the trigger that would send me back to the ER.

In the meantime, I'm doing my best to enjoy the weather and the general happenings of each day. The irony is that when my gut's not bothering me, I feel great.

Have put my draconian, blah diet aside and am carefully enjoying normal food.

One does miss that stuff.

Yesterday, while the chimney sweep was at the house, I took the dogs to Laclede, where, of course, the occasional envelopes of fog and glistening bushes and trees offered OMG scenes.

Most prominent, however, were the dramatic ice formations along the north side of the highway. They were especially prominent, thanks to the contrasting deep, blue sky above.

It was a glorious day and a glorious drive for a camera addict.

We've got lots of sports on the agenda today.  I haven't looked at the TV schedule, but I do know that there's a ZAGS game tonight.  So, as always, that will be a nice way to end the day.

Hope everyone has a nice Saturday.

Twas a joyful bus trip home from Lewiston last night for the Sandpoint Bulldogs girls varsity team.

A victory in a gym four hours away from Sandpoint is oh so sweet, and that's what the team earned when they played the Bengals on Lewiston's home court.

Congratulations, Bulldogs.

As noted, it's GAME DAY today for all of us ZAGS fans.

The ZAGS travel to Portland to take on the Pilots.

Tip off is at 5 p.m. PST.

According to the Spokesman-Review, the game will be broadcast on KHQ, Channel 6 or streamed on ESPN+.

GO, ZAGS!!!
