Thursday This, That; TBT

Well, we missed the big storm that was supposed to blow in over night.

There had to be a little rain because the worms were out and about this morning.

In fact, there were enough slithering in my pathway to have to pick and choose where to step, lest a step taken could mean a worm flattened.

It's already Thursday in a week which seems to have sped by.

Lots of little projects made the week move by quickly.  One included stopping in at Pac West Parts to visit with Tony, our lawnmower repairman.

Just like that grass is turning green, and with a few more blinks of the eye, grass will be growing out of control and soon ready to mow.

Each of my lawnmowers has a problem that needs to be fixed along with whatever spring maintenance is necessary.

So, Tony said he'd stop by in the next few days and get the fleet ready to go.

Meanwhile, as the bird chorus heightens, buds are bursting out on trees and shrubs and little flower starts are becoming more and more apparent almost by the hour.

It's a hopeful and exciting time of year, and I'm loving every minute.

Thursday Throwbacks . . . .

A few Ireland memories in the collection today.  Above, Bill and I during one of our meetings with Annie's friend Irish John.

He walked a couple of Caminos with Annie and then we had the good fortune of meeting him.

A wonderful person and a talented singer.

Below:  another of Ireland's gems, Fred Malzard, owner of Malzard's Pub in Stoneyford.

Fred's pub took top prize in Ireland's best pubs this past year.

I love it when we see Fred for the first time on each trip, and he says, "Welcome home."

Below:  our friend Tricia was living in Ireland when we got together with her and Cousin Patrick (Tricia's cousin) a few years ago.

Above:  my sisters with Terra who rode Lefty for a few years in 4-H and other horse shows.

Below:  Marlo and me.  I haven't seen Marlo for a while and am betting she may be quite tall these days.

Marlo, her brothers and her mom helped name CB. He is named in honor of their father, the late Cazzie Brown.

Marilla Schoonover, above, along with Cari and Amy below.  All were attending an anniversary party at Western Pleasure Guest Ranch.

Stacy Wood and her family members at the same party.

Parkins family members: Cathy, Sharon and Jack.

Below:  my classmate Jim and his mom.

A couple of Sandpoint classics:  Mr. Remmers and Wilma Erickson (below) at Wilma's 100th celebration 2013.

Bill later celebrated his 100th in 2016.

That "young un" and good friend is known as Steve Neuder.

My cousin Mary Short and her kids when they came to visit Sandpoint in 2016.

Her daughter Signe came back with four friends last summer.

Both visits were wonderful and meaningful.
