Juneteenth; TBT

Our road was fairly quiet this morning when I went for my brief walk while getting the paper.

Must be a lot of people staying home for the holiday, and, who knows, many may have turned it into a four-day weekend.

I hope that freedom for all citizens in this country can remain a staple and that we never have another situation in our history where freedom means the end fellow human beings being enslaved.

Even in these turbulent times, may we still cling to the aspiration that we are better than that.

Pastures are still looking lush, but they're also showing signs of drying up.

We need rain . . . badly.

Helen's Rose

Twas a dog-day afternoon for Bridie yesterday as she found her spots in the shade and did plenty of snoozing.

Since it's a Federal holiday, I'll enjoy the opportunity to be a little lazy today and let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

Thursday Throwbacks . . . . always great memories, always great people and places.

Debbie, niece Laura and Laura's cousin Heather.

Hope you are enjoying your visit to Selle.

That's Dr. Brian Luce, a veterinarian with a clinic along I-90 near Post Falls.

He's also a former student who played basketball at Sandpoint High with Willie.
