One Amazing Day

It began at 4 a.m., and officially ended about 9:30 p.m. with very little time in between two memorable and priceless events.

There was the chartered fishing trip for the Love family with Capt. Tyler Long and his Seagull Charter boat.

This trip served as a dramatic and fun acknowledgement of Bill's 75th birthday, which he celebrated in April. So, the entire family found a date when we could all get together.

Let's just say that for one day it could be called the Love Boat.

And, then there was the 50th-year class reunion at the Elks Club with the Sandpoint High Class of 1975.

I wish I had taken more pictures of the reunion, but the images now tucked away in my mind of all those friendly faces of former students will last forever.

Plus, I was having too much fun.

I did take a lot of photos on the boat, and I wasn't the only one recording exciting moments of "fish on" for each member of our family.

Happily, the phrase was oft repeated during the day.  That made us happy and especially made Tyler happy.

Tyler is a former student who purchased the charter service.  He knows the lake.  He knows fish, and he wants his guests to have a positive experience.

I think he was pleased with yesterday's success in all categories.

It's always fun to see a former student like following his passion and doing it so well. He's a principled man who respects the lake, the rules and the importance of doing a job to the very best of his ability.

As Bill said yesterday, Tyler is the perfect person to steer that boat out on to the beautiful lake.  His personality and his stories kept us entertained in between the numerous "fish on's" yesterday.

And, we were able to enjoy a family experience which will be treasured by all.

Later, the reunion was a spectacular, beautifully planned and fun event where Bill and I, along with Terry and Edna Iverson felt honored to be guests.

All in all, Aug. 2, 2025, was one phenomenal day.

Today we rest. And, sadly, Annie has to go back to Seattle.

Enjoy the photos.
