One minute dirty.
The next minute purty!
That's kinda how it was yesterday afternoon when a lightning, thunder, rain, wind and hail storm brewed up and boiled over.
The severity of the storm all depended on where you happened to be.
Here at the Lovestead, for a second or two, it looked as if the wind was gonna mess up my newly mowed lawn. Then, it quit, almost as quickly as it started.
We did receive a good dose of rain and listened to some thunder after seeing lightning strikes, but our personal helping of wild weather was not nearly as dramatic or as intense as what people in town experienced.
We had no predicted hail, but I did see a photo from south of town where some hail pounded the earth.
I also heard about limbs scattered all over the place in town.
Whatever the case and whatever the severity of yesterday's quick storm, it was great to get the moisture and the much-needed cleansing.
Maybe some grass will continue to grow, and, for sure, some color will diminish the drab landscape.
The aftermath of the yesterday's storm, featuring morning fog and puddles and beads of water on flower petals and a huge and stunning sun rising in the fog----all that has been very pretty this morning.
We needed it and it will be nice to enjoy a day where a welcome sense of freshness abounds in the air.
It's a nice start for the Labor Day weekend.
Happy Saturday.
