There are no words this morning to express the profound and widespread feelings of sadness for the community of Spokane and its surrounding area.
At this time, we don't even know the extent of loss.
We just know that yesterday, Aug. 1, 2026, was a horrific day as wind-driven, raging fires devastated extensive property and disrupted countless lives.
We also are aware of the Herculean efforts put out by first responders, volunteers and news outlets, all doing their best to ease the disastrous consequences of the fires.
Hopefully, we can all find effective ways that we can help in the coming days for these residents to rebuild their lives and their homes.
For now, our love and prayers are directed toward the Spokane community.
