Well, they changed the dates for the Bonner County Fair Horse Show, which for several years, maybe even a couple of decades, has occurred Labor Day weekend. It's this weekend, instead.
It appears that they forgot to tell anyone except for those who read their fairbooks from cover to cover or those in the inner circle.
My sisters just called and said there are one or two horses or zippo numbers in most classes this morning, so please get over there and wash Lily.
Lily is showing in three Western pleasure classes in the afternoon show, but since the morning show may last fifteen minutes, Barbara and Laurie think I ought to get my horse cleaned up earlier than planned.
So, I'm going to go wash Lily. That wasn't part of my morning plans, but when you have horse shows, they're either so long or so short, you never really can plan on anything happening the way you anticipated it when you lay the best plans of horses and people.
It's going to be rather interesting when most folks who show in the Bonner County Fair Horse Show start looking for their entry blanks to send in and learn that they missed the show. Oh well, we won't.
Off to the wash rack.
