Lots of visiting

Miss Emma and Dad Andrew

Bill meets Emma

Mike, Mary and Laura, and, yes, Mike, you do have steak on your face.

Laura took time to meet Patchy

Alicia and Andrew's angel.

Lily liked the company.

Mom Alicia and Emma

4-wheelin' and fun, right, Sue?

Call them the Bling Sisters:   Barbara and Laurie in their Fourth of July finest.

Debbie takes Dave on a Lovestead tour.

Aftermath of the Fireworks Show.
Some stuff the same; some stuff different for use on this year’s Fourth of July celebration.
In the realm of sameness:  food, fireworks and just general fun with family.

A few differences:  new folks hosting a party in the home on the hill at Tibbs Arabians.  I have a feeling our mother was smiling from above, knowing that Debbie and Willie are living in her home and enjoying the extra room and the nice spot for entertaining.

Over the two days, both the young Love’s at Colburn and the old Love’s in Selle hosted some members of the combined Uehling and Rerecich clans from Seattle and Boise, respectively.

Sue and Dave are Alicia’s parents.  Alicia is Debbie’s best friend forever.  Andrew, a Boise High classmate of Debbie and Alicia’s is Alicia’s husband.

Alicia and Andrew are PROUD parents to Miss Emma, who delighted all of us with her ‘energizer bunny’ approach to virtually every moment.

To say we had a delightful and youthful and enjoyable center of attention could be an understatement.  Emma is adorable and a very nice little lady.

Anyway, the photos can tell the rest-----EXCEPT on bit of fun trivia for our area:  Maj. Kevin Van Stone, classmate to Willie, won $100,000 on yesterday’s “Price Is Right,” which was dedicated to members of the Armed Forces.

According to a news report, Kevin’s achievement marks only the second time in 40 years that anyone on “The Price Is Right” has won that amount in that particular contest.

After receiving a congratulatory note from me yesterday, Kevin wrote back and told the “rest of the story.”

“I had to keep my trap shut for two months,” he told me.  The program was filmed in May
.
“After watching it today, it still seems surreal,” he added.

Congratulations to Kevin and thanks to all of our crowd who helped make for a very fun Fourth.

Happy Saturday to all who survived.
