A Cindy Wooden photo from the Papal Jet earlier today . . . . the Vatican Press Corps.
We're all in our places with bright ... You know. Ready to fly. #PapaEnCuba and #PopeinUS

I'm including a couple of tweets this morning---one from Sandpoint's Cindy Wooden, another about Sandpoint's Cindy Wooden.
We're about to witness a bit of history, starting today as Pope Francis visits Cuba and, later, when he visits the United States.
At the risk of sounding redundant from past Slight Detour posts over the years, we, who know and love Cindy are "busting our buttons" with pride that our hometown girl and her staff of Catholic News Service reporters at the Vatican are recording this historic trip.
This trip, for Cindy, has increased significance in that she travels with the Vatican press corps as Vatican Bureau Chief.
Here's where I'll invoke the classic Sandpoint cheer which we practiced a time or two at my 50th-year reunion last weekend.
"We're from Sandpoint and couldn't be any prouder [of you, Cindy!]
On Twitter, Cindy tweets the highlights of her days covering Pope Francis, so if you're a Twitterite, you might want to look her up and follow her this next several days.
I do know that her sister, our county treasurer Cheryl Piehl, will be keeping a close eye on the events of the next few days as will her family members and friends.
In other news on this Saturday morning, it's looking like a pretty day out there. The sun was hiding behind clouds as I looked across Taylor's field while getting the papers this morning.
It's okay if it hides and comes out on occasion. We're supposed to hit 70 today, which will be just perfect for our trail ride plans.
My sisters wanted to sleep in this morning after two very busy weeks of school and horse show, so we'll probably take off around noon and probably up at Naples, where we have not ridden before.
So, it will be a new adventure on horseback and a fun way to spend an early autumn day.
Annie arrived last night, and, of course, no surprise we stopped at Second Avenue Pizza before coming home.
And, yes, no surprise Foster as ignoring me, as expected. He's happy to see his Annie.
Yesterday, I enjoyed a fun lunch with some of my classmates. Almost hated for it to end because one will be returning to California, but she says she's moving back to Sandpoint in a couple of years. Always nice when our folks who've been out there in the world can find their way back.
We got a little silly before saying our good byes, so I'll leave you with our silly selfie. I was thinking it might be fun to post selfies of our critters, but my efforts this morning have enlightened me.
Horses and people----not bad.
Dogs, even smart Border Collies----not the least bit interested.
So, I'll have to stick with people selfies, in this case OLD people selfies (slightly boosted to wipe out the wrinkles) but OLD people with young hearts.
Let's hope it stays that way. Happy Saturday. Enjoy!
