Early Autumn Splendor

I always take my camera with me when I go to town to do errands.  I don't always see pictures along the way, but yesterday was different.

Autumn is really a name more befitting fall because it's pretty like the fall season, and yesterday, by golly, Autumn was beginning to make a noticeable appearance.

Like a good wine, Autumn does get prettier with age and then leaves us flat after her grand finale.

So, I believe it's both important and fun to turn into a proud, adoring  mother and capture each glorious stage of Autumn's brief life.

Yesterday's trip to town via North Kootenai Road and the drive home via a portion of the Sunnyside Loop turned out to be exhilarating, thanks lovely blue sky accented with puffy white clouds.

Earlybird colors of autumn, which are appearing about the countryside in a hodgepodge pattern, shouted out their presence yesterday from bushes, trees and faded stands of grass.

It was lovely, to say the least, and it only gets better as the September days wane away into October.

So, it's looking like we've got some treats in store, and if yesterday's scenes were any indication, our appetite for fall beauty should be well-satisfied.

The best part of yesterday's to and from town experience was finding the most brilliant color show on the maple tree in my own Lovestead yard, as seen in the final photo.

Hope you enjoy this year's production of Autumn.  Happy Thursday.
