Blessings, Bounty and Beauty

Just saw this Paul Haring photo on Cindy Wooden's Twitter feed and couldn't resist, showcasing it on this World Animal Day.

from the website:

MISSION OF WORLD ANIMAL DAY
To raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe. Building the celebration of World Animal Day unites the animal welfare movement, mobilising it into a global force to make the world a better place for all animals.  It's celebrated in different ways in every country, irrespective of nationality, religion, faith or political ideology.  Through increased awareness and education we can create a world where animals are always recognised as sentient beings and full regard is always paid to their welfare.

GOOD dogs.  Nice Pope.

May God bless our beloveds on this day and every day.

The metal ladder moved to the north lawn yesterday, as plum picking ended and apple picking began for this fall 2017.

The apples on this particular tree are plentiful, even after the deer have had their share BUT it's a mixed bag on quality and size.

So, I picked the iddy biddies and those worthy of peeling and then separated them into different containers.  Iddy biddies and apples with worm holes went in the horses' container, while others came to the garage for future peeling sprees.

It was a phenomenal day for standing on a ladder and picking.  I'd say the most perfect of fall days, and I'll also express my gratitude to Mother Nature for handing us a lovely fall this year.

It's the best time of the year, as far as I'm concerned, and the photos below represent some of the reasons I love this season so much.

Before taking off to the St. Joe for a full day of fishing, Bill told me I'd better take my camera outside this morning because there was gonna be a fantastic sunrise, thanks to the cloud patterns in the eastern sky.

He was correct.  I used my cell phone and was amazed with how much it captured as dark as it was at 6 a.m.

Looks like this day may not be quite as stunning as yesterday, but it's crisp and dry and perfect for picking more apples, planting more daffodil bulbs and taking a horseback ride around the place.

Enjoy your day and spread some extra love to your animals and your peeps.

What the world certainly needs is a lot more love!

Happy Wednesday.
