Birthday Week Continues, As Does Winter
How many times does one get to celebrate April Fools, Easter and a birthday in one day?
Not often.
In fact, we believe that yesterday was probably the first and only time Willie will have all those celebrations line up.
Today, well, it's just birthday day for Bill and his twin sister Margaret. Happy Birthday, Margaret!
Bill could go out and celebrate in the barnyard with Lily cuz it's her birthday too.
I don't think, however, that he will be putting that activity too high on his list of priorities. After all, who wants to go trudge through the mud!
Lily doesn't, but right now, there's not much choice. At least, it's clean mud for a while this morning with a new blanket of snow.
The weather was SO bad yesterday that my sisters and I independently and later, collectively came to a plan: CB will stay at their place for another week.
Maybe the mud will dry out and the ground will become more firm. Bill pulled out the horse trailer yesterday morning before the overnight freeze started thawing.
It will probably stay put on the lane for a few days, thanks to all the soggy snow yesterday.
North Idaho does it again, and once again, we're jealous of all those folks who left town, especially when we see wet, wet, wet in the forecast ahead.
Anyway, we're doing the birthdays this week---four in our family in just over a week, and that's the humans. My sister Barbara has a mare celebrating her birthday today too.
In spite of the weather, we had a nice Easter, April Fools, birthday celebration yesterday. The only foolishness came from the skies.
After a nice dinner out, everyone went home, did chores and then gathered again at our house for pies (apple for Willie, pecan for Bill) and ice cream cake.
Debbie did dessert honors, and we just enjoyed some good visiting and a little television.
So, this morning, Bill will add going out to breakfast for his special day, and then we'll figure out from there, what to do, all based on weather, of course.
Hope everyone had a nice Easter. Now on to some more winter during Spring Break in North Idaho!
Happy Monday.
