There's foggy foggy dew this morning after a soaking downpour last night. When the fog lifts, however, we're in for another pleasant day as we end this month of June.
Partly cloudy with a high of 71; I'll take it.
We have been blessed with a nice mix of moderation this spring and summer, but it looks like some hot days are coming in about a week.
So, it's enjoy while we can and accept the fact that haying season needs heat and dry and sun.
It's been a busy week with lots of wonderful visits among friends and family, and that will probably continue over the weekend.
Today I'd like to issue a very special greeting to a lady I truly admire. Her name is Judy Thompson----she's one of the "outlaws," and she turned 70 on this last day of June.
One would never know she's that old cuz she seldom lets any grass grow under her feet with her spirit of adventure and with all her quiet, behind-the-scenes, meticulous involvement in this community.
Good things have happened in Sandpoint for many years because of Judy Thompson.
Good things happened for friends and family for many years because of Judy Thompson.
Judy is a good and loyal friend to many. She's passionate and she truly cares about the world around her.
Never seeking recognition, she spots things that need to be done, rolls up her sleeves and continually finds ways for the good stuff to unfold.
So, Happy Birthday, dear Judy. You deserve a day or maybe a week of being indulged by all who admire and appreciate you.
Have a fun and festive day, lady!
Meanwhile, on the Camino front, Annie and gang are well into Spain with plans to walk into Santiago de Compostela July 3.
So, they've got plenty of walking ahead. It sounds like they've made the full adjustment into being pilgrims after those early days of blisters and fatigue.
And, the photos-----are absolutely lovely. Be sure to visit Annie's blog at www.adventuregirlannie.com.
She's posting some great stuff.
Happy Saturday.
Enjoy the photos.
Thanks, Mary. LOVE is all ya need, for sure! |
