Strolling in Sunshine

I'm walking on sunshine (Wow!)

And don't it feel good

Yup, yesterday was that kind of day, pretty much from start to finish.

And, yes, it was "WOW," and, yes, it felt good.

Such a gift in late November, and throughout the day, it kept on giving----moments to remember.

It didn't matter if those moments were in the barn while cleaning up horse pooh, down the lane watching doggies play or in and around Farragut State Park.

We looked for eagles at the park and saw just one.

No worries, though.

We enjoyed enough other moments of glorious afternoon beauty that those eagles looking for dead fish along the shoreline could come on another day.

Geese had been along the shoreline. Lots of them.

So, rather than dodging smelly fish, we dodged countless piles of green geese pooh.

People were out and about with their dogs. Pretty much everyone we saw during our visit to the park with so many past memories appeared to be brim full with the elixir of life, thanks to that sun.

Lots of "Hello's; isn't it a beautiful day" as we strolled along the shoreline where cold Lake Pend Oreille water rippled to the shoreline.

One time the quiet ripples turned to slapping waves when a boat came into the dock.  We were guessing the occupants had finished up a day of fishing in the annual Thanksgiving Derby.

Bill and I did spot one eagle as we walked back to the car. It launched from a tree below us and swooped on down toward the lake before I could snap a picture.

Part of our visit to Farragut involved some geocaching for Annie who's on a mission to get those 2018 caches for 2018.

We walked a snowy trail to find two caches, helping her inch a bit closer to her goal.

During another interlude Bill pointed to a treed over area.

Forty-five years ago, the spot was an open field where Bill and I first met while he was at the Boy Scout Jamboree and I was doing feature stories.

All in all, yesterday turned out to be the loveliest of days, probably so because it was an unexpected bonus for November.

Thankful for such generous opportunities bestowed upon us by good ol' Mother Nature.  She's been pretty kind to us of late.

Happy Monday.    GO, ZAGS vs North Dakota.  6 p.m. PST
